Glenn has been been messing around with guitars and other stringed instruments ever since he was a young lad. Playing in rock bands, Glenn developed an appreciation for the positive effect that music can have on people. It is that feel-good effect, which is even more pronounced with traditional Irish music, that attracted Glenn to the music of his ancestors.
For a while Glenn played bass guitar (mainly because no one else wanted to), but eventually, he returned his focus to guitar, and has since added a number of other instruments to his repertoire. In addition to playing guitar and mandolin, Glenn plays tenor banjo and Scottish smallpipes in his spare time.
Glenn's guitars include a Taylor GS equipped with electronics by Schatten Design and a Taylor 414CE-L2. Glenn plays Minstrel and Mid-Missouri mandolins (and Vanessa's Weber) equipped with McIntyre and LR Baggs electronics.
