Vanessa Kay

Vanessa Kay has been fiddling for most of her life as part of various groups and orchestras. When she was just a wee girl, she toured Europe and Asia with a youth string orchestra. Since then, Vanessa has recorded with Spark that Screams, Tarkin, and Subconscious Satellite, played at the Vancouver Folk Festival, and sat in sessions around Canada and Scotland.

In addition to playing the fiddle, mandolin, and guitar, Vanessa’s diverse musical background has included forays into old-time American folk music, gospel piano, African drumming and the greatly misunderstood autoharp.
